Trailer

Hey everyone, and welcome to my Project Ganondorf blog. I've finally finished off my trailer for my project, so I'll start by posting that right now! I hope you all enjoy it. Here it is:

The mod was basically finished and would have been ready for release in the next week or so, but I've been set back due to the most recent Project: M update. The character soundbanks have had some edits done to them (as I'm sure you've all know) which is giving me problems with my sawnd files. I need to re-do some of my sfx replacements, and then I'll need to change my psa coding according to those changes. The latter, however, isn't the main issue.. The problem is the sawnd editing. I have yet to successfully edit a sawnd file myself, I always run into problems. I have an sfx guy, but his computer is currently dead, so I'm stuck until he can help! UNLESS someone out there is able to help me out!

If there are any sfx pros. out there who can help, please let me know. I'll get this mod out there for the public much sooner!

That being said, I look forward to all your feedback on my trailer! I'll be posting more so don't forget to follow my blog so you don't miss any updates!

  1. Is there a way you can release it anyway? Like, I don't care about imperfections, does it run and not crash the game? If so, I want.

  2. What Konnakol said

Happy to do some competitive level testing with Free Saltines crew out here in NY

Got some PMDT folk that could potentially help with sfx stuff too (but no promises on that atm).

  3. As a minor critique, should you figure out sound - see if you can't make the OoT Ganondorf's voice consistent. His voice is significantly pitched up in Melee compared to OoT, but when giant he has the same voice, and even reuses a few (like the one for his B) directly from OoT. So if you can make all his Melee clips the giant versions... yeah.

  4. Yea FS is definitely interested. We got top level players like Frozen, Zhime, Gallo, Stereokidd, etc. and a few talented people who know how to do modding stuff.

  5. Thanks for the feedback guys. I'm on top of some of your suggestions already. Might not all be fixed for the initial release, but they will be in future releases for sure.

I can't promise a pre release for anyone though, sorry. I wana get the broken sfx stuff outa the way before releasing (probably not the pitch stuff yet, but i want him to at least have sfx)! I dont want there too many issues to the point that people wont wana use the mods!

    1. Sounds good
When/if you get to the point of a possible pre-release, keep FS in mind and reach out to me on their behalf at fantomkitsune@gmail.com or Steve Fantom on Facebook

We're looking forward to playing it when you're ready :)

  6. I´ve done a fair bit of sound design work in the past, but only for live productions(plays, musicals, ect.) I´d love to help and contribute but I´m afraid I have no portfolio to show you. If you send a list of what you want to theosmeo@gmail.com I can get you all the sound effects you need by Sunday, free of charge, so you have nothing to lose. This project looks promising and fun and I´ll be interested in the outcome. Thanks for the consideration!

  7. Your Ganondorf PSA looks really amazing. I do have a question, though. How are you able to give Ganondorf that complex projectile attack for his dark magic moveset? I thought that adding true projectiles to a Smash character in a PSA is impossible due to the article's coding.

    1. He's using Lucarios slot, so I was able to utilize Lucarios aura sphere physics to create what I did.
